According to Reuters, the French cybersecurity agency ANSSI stated that starting from 2027, they will cease certifying security products that do not have quantum-resistant encryption capabilities, and they recommend that companies only purchase quantum-resistant products by 2030. ANSSI certification is an important prerequisite for French government agencies and critical infrastructure when procuring security products, and this policy is equivalent to promoting the gradual phase-out of old encryption systems. Industry insiders say that commonly used blockchain signature algorithms such as ECDSA may be among the first systems to face impact.
