Netherlands vs Japan

Sweden vs Tunisia

I think this is the only evenly matched game today. The Dutch defense is solid, but they are facing injury troubles and a decline in their forward line form, while Japan, although lacking a midfield pivot, compensates for individual ability with extreme team coordination. This has led to their recent six-match winning streak with only one goal conceded, so normally, both sides are very likely to settle for a draw in regular time. However, if the Netherlands can seize the opportunity at home early on to break the deadlock, they might maintain that advantage until the final whistle. Also, the draw odds are quite high, which personally suggests it’s a match with a clear winner or loser. With so many draws yesterday, I don’t believe they’ll draw again today. Predicted scores: 2-0, 2-1, 3-1.

Sweden has a luxurious front line composed of Isak and Zekairesh. Their playing style is tough and physically strong. Tunisia’s tactical style leans more towards defensive counterattacks, relying on individual skills and quick counterattacks to find attacking opportunities. Although Sweden’s strength on paper is superior, their recent form has been less than ideal. In two warm-up matches before the World Cup, they drew one and lost one, not only losing to Norway but also being held to a draw by Greece, who did not qualify for the World Cup. I believe Tunisia, facing strong opponents like the Netherlands and Japan in the same group, sees their first match against such a form Sweden as their best chance to score points or even grab three. Their goal is to draw or win, so predicted scores: 1-1, 2-1, 2-2.
