Solana announced that AWS content publishers can now monetize AI traffic through the x402 protocol on Solana and receive payments in USDC. Solana stated that compared to directly blocking bot traffic, publishers can set per-request pricing for content access and charge AI agents or bots in stablecoins. It said that bot traffic can account for up to 50% of website visits, and x402 offers a new way to convert AI access into revenue.
