Today’s share:
Portugal vs Congo
England vs Croatia
First, Congo returned to the World Cup after 52 years, and their defense shouldn’t be underestimated. They will limit Portugal to a high score, so it’s hard for a big win to happen. Also, they have several players who play in the Premier League and other top five leagues, so even if Portugal can win, it won’t be an easy match. I think this is a score direction of 1-1 or 2-1. Of course, Congo will also find it difficult to threaten Portugal; they can only rely on occasional counterattacks to create danger. If you believe Portugal can hold on, you can switch 2-1 to 2-0.
England’s defense needs no introduction. They won all 8 matches in the World Cup qualifiers without conceding a goal. Their recent warm-up matches have also kept clean sheets. As for Croatia, they’re even better at dragging the game into a slow-paced positional battle that consumes time. I think the first half will be cautious probing, and goals will start coming in the second half. Croatia’s squad is overall aging, and their stamina will experience a sharp drop. So perhaps England can take advantage of this opportunity to get a narrow win as well—blindly guessing 2-1 or 2-2.
