New York Magazine: Sam Bankman-Fried Plans to Launch a New Cryptocurrency After Prison Release

An article from New York Magazine revealed that FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried discussed his future plans while serving a 25-year prison sentence for fraud and conspiracy charges.

According to the report, Bankman-Fried told his fellow inmate David Bonifaz that building a real project and achieving significant wealth requires capital ranging from $50 million to $100 million, adding that he intends to issue a new digital token after his release from prison.

Bankman-Fried, who managed one of the largest cryptocurrency trading platforms before its collapse in 2022, continues to defend himself and assert his innocence through ongoing communication with journalists from inside the $BTC prison.
