At 28 I’m supposed to be building my future. but Instead I’m in a dead end job watching my paycheck evaoprate every month. After rent, student loans, and groceries that cost double what they did five years ago, the government steals another $1,200 a month in taxes. Last year I paid $14k in federal taxes alone. the train I take to work is delayed half the time, my health insurance deductible is crazy aghghghg I’m not asking for a handout. I just want to keep more of what I earn so I can actually save for a house or kids someday. But every yer it feels like I’m working 4 months just for the government.
