Gilded Finance reports that on June 17, according to CNN, U.S. President Donald Trump was late for the morning session of the G7 summit in Évian-les-Bains. When French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the meeting was about to begin, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was already seated at a seat marked with Trump’s name. After some time, Trump finally entered the venue; by then, nearly an hour had passed since the meeting was originally scheduled to start. He stood near the front of the table and joked, “I’m the boss.” Macron got up to shake hands with Trump and greeted him. Trump then turned to the media and asked, “Do you want to stay and observe the meeting? I don’t have any objections.” However, the French hosts quickly asked the media personnel to leave the venue.
