U.S. officials read aloud the text of the U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding, which is largely consistent with the version previously disclosed by the media.
BlockBeats News, June 18 — According to Reuters, a senior U.S. official stated on Wednesday that the memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran, which is set to be signed this Friday, is not a final binding agreement, and both sides can choose to withdraw. The official read out the content of the 14-point memorandum that will be officially signed in Switzerland and said that the next phase of negotiations will focus on the specific implementation order of the measures outlined in the preliminary agreement.
The official said, "I believe this meeting in Switzerland will be very critical and will determine how we proceed to the next stage." He emphasized that the Switzerland talks will be a key step in ensuring that the memorandum of understanding further evolves into a comprehensive agreement. According to the official's reading, the 14-point document is largely consistent with versions previously disclosed by multiple media outlets. (Jin10)
