Dragonfly partner praises Zhipu: The model benchmark performs excellently, previously misjudged the gap between open-source and closed-source models.

Dragonfly managing partner Haseeb Qureshi said in a post that he previously long believed that, due to data gaps, hardware gaps, and increased distillation restrictions, the gap between open-source models and closed-source models would widen—but this judgment was wrong. Zhipu Z.ai has reached another level; its model benchmark performance is excellent, and early user feedback has also been very strong.
Haseeb also said that he is running his Hermes Agent on GLM 5.2 via the AskVenice API, and will provide feedback on the user experience later.
