Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas: approximately 70% of his investment portfolio is allocated to Bitcoin

Abstract generation in progress
Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego stated that approximately 70% of his investment portfolio is allocated to Bitcoin and believes that traditional fiat currencies will lose their purchasing power over time. Salinas said he once advised his wife to mortgage their property and take out a loan to buy Bitcoin, and he thinks people should consider converting at least some of their home equity into Bitcoin exposure. Comparing Bitcoin to real estate, Salinas said that a property in central London worth about $1.6 million in January 2016 was equivalent to 4,000 BTC, while ten years later, the same purchase would require less than 30 BTC. He stated that Bitcoin has outperformed traditional store-of-value assets like real estate in the long term and predicted that Bitcoin's price will reach $1 million, though he is uncertain about the timing. Fiat currency devaluation is a consensus, but using mortgaged property to buy coins can lead to liquidation and sleeping on the street.

In 2016, swapping London property for BTC was indeed attractive, but who dared to go all-in back then?

70% position size is too aggressive; ordinary people can't learn it.
