Cryptocurrency Investment: A Stress Test on Human Nature

Three years ago, I dove into the crypto world chasing the dream of "financial freedom," now I only have cold sweat left. The virtual currency market has no "value investing," only a game of liquidity and emotions. Behind the temptation of 100x leverage is the brutal reality of liquidation to zero in half an hour—I have personally witnessed friends use half a year's salary to trade contracts, ultimately not even earning enough to cover the fees.

The most ironic thing is, when Bitcoin broke six figures, I became even more anxious: selling early for fear of missing out, holding too long for fear of a pullback. This kind of gain and loss anxiety is more tormenting than the losses themselves. Only later did I understand that the ultimate trap in the crypto world isn't volatility, but the illusion that you can beat probability with luck.

Now I only keep a small amount of spot holdings, spending more time reading and exercising. The market never lacks opportunities; what it lacks is the discipline to protect your principal. Remember: you look at the candlestick charts, but the whales look at your positions; you bet on rises and falls, but the market feeds on your greed.
