Serenity Call LP: Glass substrates may become the next phase in packaging technology
BlockBeats News, June 17 — Serenity posted that if its assessment is correct, LPK previously said that “80% of major global clients have chosen LPKF equipment.” It believes that glass substrates are clearly becoming the direction of the next packaging technology transition.
Serenity said that, based on the expected timeline, major players such as Absolics are expected to ramp up in the second half of 2026, while Samsung Electro-Mechanics and its partners are expected to advance related progress in 2027. After that, there will also be major technical shifts such as TSMC CoPoS, with timing potentially in 2028, although whether LPKF has upstream exposure remains unconfirmed.
Serenity said that the claim that “80% of clients choose LPKF equipment” alone is already very surprising. Its personal expectation is that as related production capacity enters the ramp-up phase, the market may eventually factor this into pricing. It disclosed that it currently holds LPK. The related price increase does not necessarily require major news catalysts, and could simply be the market gradually approaching the timeline for large-scale mass production.
