🌐 Altcoins: Alive or Dead?
According to data from CryptoQuant, the annual delta of buy/sell volume in altcoins, excluding Ethereum, has fallen to a record low since 2020. The negative trend has been ongoing for 15 months, indicating continuous net sales on spot exchanges.
CryptoQuant founder, Ki Eun Joo, noted that while many altcoins are alive, those that exist only due to narrative are dying. He highlighted three key categories for altcoin survival:
1. Global internet companies with tokenized market layers, such as BNB and GRAM (TON).
2. DeFi services with real revenue, like Hyperliquid, and quality DeFi protocols.
3. Projects aligned with broader financial trends.
