African fintech company Flutterwave has received a strategic investment from Ripple as part of its Series E funding round, valuing Flutterwave at approximately $3.2 billion and deepening the collaboration between the two companies in the field of stablecoin-powered payments.

Although the financial terms of Ripple's participation remain confidential, this investment is one of the most prominent aspects of the partnership between a global blockchain technology provider and an African payments-focused company.
Under this partnership, Flutterwave will integrate Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD, the Ripple payment network, and the XRP Ledger (XRPL) into parts of its payment infrastructure.
The two companies stated that this initiative aims to improve settlement speed, reduce transaction costs, and expand cross-border payment access for businesses operating across Africa.
