Beginner's First Chapter:

What are U.S. stocks?
Simply put, they are stocks listed and traded on the U.S. securities market. For example, the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ both belong to the U.S. stock exchanges. Stocks represent a portion of ownership in a company; buying stocks essentially means buying a potential share of the company's future operational results.
Stock prices fluctuate during trading hours, influenced by factors such as company performance, market sentiment, policy environment, industry cycles, interest rate changes, political factors, and more. For beginners just starting out, these external factors are often hard to understand, making it difficult to judge the valuation, so they cannot withstand the ups and downs.
