Anthropic is the parent company of Claude, the world’s most advanced AI model family. The company has partnered with Stripe to build a robust and flexible payment and billing infrastructure.


Let me start with a few findings that I find the most counterintuitive:
First, almost everyone they hire is working in infrastructure—not the kind of researcher we might assume. Second, they hardly hire junior employees. The team’s median work experience is 12.2 years, and only 13% of people have Ph.D. degrees. Third, the largest source of talent isn’t OpenAI, and it isn’t DeepMind either, but Google and Meta. Fourth, if a junior does show up occasionally, their resume profile looks like this: an MIT graduate, an IOI silver medalist, and a Codeforces score of 2900 or above. It’s so clean that there’s nothing left to say.
