According to DigiTimes, Apple's standard iPhone 18 model will be upgraded to 12GB of memory, a 50% increase from the iPhone 17's 8GB, to support more advanced Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features. The standard iPhone 18 is expected to be released in spring 2027, while the Pro models are expected to launch in fall 2026. The 12GB memory specification was previously limited to Pro models, which aligns with Apple's requirement that the most advanced edge AI models need to run on devices with at least 12GB of memory.
