🚀 BlackRock Launches New Bitcoin Income ETF “BITA”BlackRock has launched a new Bitcoin ETF called BITA (Bitcoin Premium Income ETF), designed to give investors exposure to Bitcoin while also generating monthly income.
🔸 The fund holds spot Bitcoin indirectly through IBIT, BlackRock’s existing spot Bitcoin ETF.
🔸 At the same time, BITA sells covered call options on roughly 25%–35% of its Bitcoin exposure to collect option premiums.
🔸 Those option premiums are then distributed to investors as recurring monthly income.
📈 The goal is to attract investors who want Bitcoin exposure but also prefer steady cash flow instead of relying purely on price appreciation.
⚠️ The tradeoff:If Bitcoin rallies too aggressively, gains on the portion covered by sold call options become capped, since the fund may be forced to sell at predetermined prices.
🔸 The launch reflects a growing Wall Street trend focused on generating yield from Bitcoin.Unlike Ethereum or Solana, Bitcoin does not offer native staking rewards, pushing institutions to explore alternative yield strategies through options and structured products.
