Reports say Samsung Foundry secures first order from Elon Musk's Neuralink for chip manufacturing

According to reports, Samsung Electronics' wafer foundry business has for the first time received a chip contract manufacturing service order from Neuralink, Elon Musk's brain-machine interface company. Samsung's wafer foundry will produce Neuralink's "Fourth Generation" chips, with the goal of mass production by the end of 2027. The product will use 4nm process technology, with pilot production already underway in May 2026. (Cailian Press)
