So the spot price isn't falling because retail investors don't have inventory, so they can't dump the market; the big players are dumping contracts, and the high funding rates cause perpetual contract longs to keep closing, triggering a chain reaction. Currently, 80% of retail investors are long. If you were the big player, would you let the contracts increase? Continuing with the contract market and supporting the spot price is the most optimal solution for the big players.
