I don’t understand how this is possible.

I witnessed Hong Kong’s return, witnessed China’s entry into the WTO,
witnessed the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics;
I watched China climb step by step from poverty and stagnation to the very top of the world.
I personally saw Steve Jobs bring Apple back from the brink of bankruptcy to its peak,
and I personally saw him depart;
I saw Kobe go from a 17-year-old boy to the Oscar awards stage,
and I personally watched his helicopter vanish into the thick fog.
I made it through SARS, made it through COVID-19, made it through those three years.
I saw BB pagers replaced by Nokia,
Nokia replaced by the iPhone,
replaced—
physical stores replaced by Taobao,
cash replaced by QR codes,
taxis replaced by Didi,
long videos replaced by short videos.
And now I am witnessing the rise of artificial intelligence.
And what I’m about to witness is the generation in which AI recompiles human diseases and lifespans.
And I am 40 years old.
