Crypto news, according to Cointelegraph, trm labs’ report shows that in the first quarter of 2026, projected market trading volume will reach $36.6 billion, marking the first time it surpasses on-chain gambling by $14 billion. On-chain gambling recorded $51.0 billion in trading volume for all of 2025, with 2025’s fourth quarter setting a new quarterly high of $15.0 billion. Despite a pullback in the crypto market, trading volumes in both segments showed no obvious decline. High-volume players account for 0.063 of personal wallet numbers and contribute 0.918 of trading volume. The monthly trading volume of regular bettors grew from $17.0 million in January 2022 to $188.0 million in March 2026, while the daily bettors’ trading volume increased 12 times over the same period. trm labs warns that gambling platforms face money-laundering risks, while prediction markets face scrutiny for insider trading.
