BitMine Tom Lee acquired the largest ETH batch in 2026 and accumulated over 5.5 million coins
BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), managed by Tom Lee, reports that its reserves amount to 5.54 million ETH, which is approximately 4.59% of the total Ethereum supply of 120.7 million coins.
BitMine remains the largest public holder of Ethereum and the second-largest corporate holder of cryptocurrency in the world after Michael Saylor's Strategy company.
Last week, the company purchased 126,971 ETH worth about $215 million, marking the largest weekly purchase in 2026. According to Lee, BitMine has already reached about 92% of its goal to accumulate 5% of all ETH in circulation and plans to achieve this level in 2026.
Of the total volume, 4.72 million ETH are staked. At the current price of $1,630 per coin, the value of staked ETH is about $7.7 billion. The company estimates that annual staking revenue is around $230 million.
The total value of cryptocurrencies, cash, and other investments on BitMine's balance sheet is estimated at $9.6 billion.
At an average purchase price exceeding $3,400 per ETH, BitMine is in a "paper" loss of over $9.5 billion. Previously, the company noted that it continues to increase ETH purchases, expecting the end of the "mini-crypto winter," and views the price decline as an opportunity.
