Just now I was again too stupid: looking at the order book it seemed pretty stable, I quickly placed a market order, and the slippage started to open up like a zipper all the way... Only at the moment of execution did I realize the depth hadn't kept up at all, I was still fantasizing "just a little amount, no problem." Honestly, it’s a timing issue, I could have split it into two trades, placed a limit order, and waited for some liquidity to come back, but I insisted on FOMOing and grabbing that one second. Not much loss, but it’s pretty annoying. By the way, recently hardware wallets are all out of stock, phishing links are everywhere, everyone’s security awareness is at an all-time high; I’m fine, my wallet wasn’t stolen, I just got robbed by my own quick fingers first, whatever.
