Recently, the narrative of parallel processing and sharding has become popular again.

A bunch of people in the group are talking about throughput like crazy, but my first reaction is still: where to put the money, how to move it.
Honestly, no matter how fast the chain is, you have a bunch of signature pop-ups, RPCs floating around, cross-chain bridges that are long and winding, and when something goes wrong, you can't back out anyway, so it's pointless.
Lately, the staking unlocks and token unlock calendars are being pulled out every day to scare people.
Actually, the anxiety is there, but what I care more about is: on the day of unlock, if you need to run, is the path clear, is liquidity enough, are there any weird contract permissions?
I treat complexity as an enemy: if I can avoid it, I avoid it; if I can skip a step, I skip it.
Anyway, first make sure asset security and exit routes are clear, then see how attractive parallel processing and sharding really are.
