I used to think that "only the mainnet counts as the real chain," and L2 was like a test server—transferring back and forth wasn't worth it compared to just enduring high gas fees for a quick transaction. Now I understand the opposite: the mainnet is more like the final settlement layer, and for everyday small interactions, frequent clicks, and moving assets to L2, you're saving not just gas but also mental wear and tear.

My current compromise is pretty crude: I complete actions on L2 first (like swapping, borrowing, claiming, or re-staking with layered strategies), and only when I plan to hold long-term or when security is strongly related do I slowly move back to the mainnet; I also don’t push cross-chain/bridges during peak times—better to wait a bit… to avoid letting transaction fees eat away at my mood.

Recently, in the group, there’s talk about stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and even some calling for de-pegging, so I’m even less inclined to shuffle back and forth on the mainnet—each transfer makes my heart race. Anyway, I’ll first clarify my operational path so I don’t get led by FUD at the last minute. That’s all for now.
