The IDF had previously received intelligence that Hezbollah from Lebanon would fire at the IDF from that area. Given the intelligence and the fact that the vehicle posed a "threat to IDF soldiers," the IDF carried out an attack on the vehicle. The statement said that preliminary investigations indicated there were 2 Lebanese government military officers and 1 soldier inside the vehicle, and the investigation is ongoing.
