The U.S. House of Representatives passed a war powers resolution regarding Trump's Iran policy, with a vote of 215-208, but it lacks legal effect. According to BlockBeats, on June 6, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a war powers resolution with 215 votes in favor and 208 against, demanding that President Trump cease military actions against Iran without congressional authorization. Four Republican lawmakers voted in support along with Democrats. However, if the resolution passed by the House is ultimately approved by the Senate, it will not have legal force, and Trump will not be obligated to comply with it. White House officials stated that the resolution is "unconstitutional," and Trump will continue to act based on his constitutional authority as Commander-in-Chief. Trump posted on Truth Social calling the vote "meaningless," and accused Democrats and four Republicans of attempting to weaken his authority in ending Iran war negotiations.
