I found that unrealized losses really can keep people from sleeping more than unrealized gains… Clearly, the paper loss hasn’t even been sold yet; basically, it’s just “a number that might come back,” but my mind automatically fills in the worst-case scenario: price drops, support breaks, the rebound doesn’t follow through, and then I accidentally click and the authorization gets phished away. The more I think about it, the more ridiculous it feels. Conversely, unrealized gains feel so weightless—at most, you’re happy for two minutes, then you start worrying, “Will I end up giving it all back?” “Should I take profits first?” But that kind of anxiety isn’t as heart-stabbing as unrealized losses. Lately, I’ve been seeing everyone talk about testnet incentives, points, and whether the mainnet will issue tokens—so I also get an itch to jump in—but once I think about signatures, authorizations, whether links are real or fake, the nightmare of unrealized losses gets rehearsed in my head three times… Forget it, I’ll sleep first.
