I’m not very good at dressing up those nouns like “data availability / ordering / finality” in a fancy way, but the main thread I see is this: whether what you bought ultimately counts as yours, and whether someone else can “bring up old accounts” and hold you accountable for it. NFT floor prices look like prices, but really they’re more like a mass of liquidity trying to find an exit; if the data is scattered in places you can’t see or touch, and in the end the chain just says “it’s gone,” you won’t even know who to argue with. Ordering is the same—within the same transaction, who goes first and who goes last determines whether you’re getting front-run, getting slipped, or left holding slippage, especially with something that suddenly goes viral like a mint… And when I see the attention rotating in from Meme/celebrity shout-calls, I only ask one thing: when this wave of hype dies down, what will ultimately remain? In any case, I’d rather go slower—I don’t want to be the last one holding the bag.
