I'm not very good at explaining those architecture diagrams filled with a bunch of terms, but recently I've been seeing everyone talk about data availability, ordering, finality. I’ve come up with a main thread for myself: who is first in line to see the "result" on the chain, who verifies it, and how long it takes to be considered final. Basically, ordering is like "who writes in the little notebook first," data availability is "whether others can flip through this notebook," and finality is "whether this page will be torn out and rewritten." The terms sound intimidating, but they're actually similar to trading mentality: when uncertain, don’t open positions that require miracles to survive. Recently, the staking/token unlock calendar has been repeatedly brought up, and the selling pressure anxiety is everywhere. I now prefer to wait for a few confirmations before taking action; eating less risk is fine, as long as the position curve doesn’t break.
