Recently, I’ve been a bit obsessed with earning testnet points, claiming it’s practice, but as I keep going, I start calculating “how much airdrop I could get in the future”… Once you have expectations, your actions tend to distort.

My stop-loss is pretty simple: set a total budget (time + gas + attention), like no more than two nights this week, and stop once I reach a certain amount; then set a “no progress threshold,” if there’s no update on tasks for several days, rules keep changing, and the community is full of rumors, I just ignore it and withdraw directly.

I also saw discussions in the group about privacy coins/mixing, and it feels similar to earning points: when boundaries are unclear, the more you want to “not miss out,” the easier it is to step on landmines.
Anyway, I now prefer to earn a little less but take an extra safety step: for new projects, always use a separate wallet + limit the permissions, revoke permissions after use. It’s a hassle, but it helps me sleep better.
