Today the on-chain network is a bit congested. My transaction sat in the mempool queued up for a few minutes, and it really felt like checking out at a supermarket: if your bid (gas) isn’t high enough, you have to stand in line at the back; if someone cuts in (bid replacement), you end up having to wait it out anyway. If you wait too long, it may expire outright or get kicked back. The hardest part psychologically is “not knowing how much longer it’ll take”… Anyway, I’ve gotten used to it now. When the network is congested, I’d rather go slower, or just cancel the order and start over—don’t let panic make you wildly add gas, like overwatering a succulent.

Recently, everyone’s been comparing RWA and US bond yields to on-chain yield products. I pay attention to that too, but the higher and more layered the returns are, the more you need to think it through: queueing is only the surface. Behind it are the traps like slippage, sandwich attacks, and liquidation pitfalls. Take your time. Habit is more reliable than talent.
