These past two days, the group has been circulating the same old spiel about “a certain stablecoin going off-peg,” complete with reserve audit screenshot pieces, and the mood gets yanked around too. I originally wanted to just leave the group and casually uninstall a few market-watch/on-chain tools, so I wouldn’t get led by the nose… but my hand paused the moment I was about to delete them. When I think about it, maybe it’s not that my mindset is bad—maybe it’s that the “on-chain” I’m seeing might simply be delayed.

Put plainly: the on-chain transfers, liquidations, and whale moves you scroll past are still being passed along step by step through nodes, RPCs, and indexers behind the scenes. Some get stuck, some are cached, some get rolled back. You think it’s “real-time,” but really it’s just “someone else already finished the calculation and is now showing it to you.” So now, when I see a turning point in the hype, I first ask: Did this really happen, or is the data still not caught up / has it already been backfilled? For now, I’ll take it slow—less of the “bagholder,” even if I’m half a beat late, it’s still safer than charging in亂.
