I’m not very good at holding myself back—especially when the group chat is flooded with “Look quickly” and “We’re about to take off,” and my hand moves faster than my brain… But honestly, when it comes to impulsively signing off on the buy, don’t just dump all the blame on KOLs. KOLs can only spark the fire; the group chat messages are like a continuous binge-drinking session: screenshots, punchlines, and waves of emotions pushing you to confirm one after another. In the end, slippage goes haywire, the routing loops around three times, and you’re the one who still ends up losing.

Recently, I’ve been putting RWA and U.S. Treasury yield rates side by side with all kinds of on-chain yield products, and it makes my scalp go numb: one talks about the real-world, slow-paced setup, while the other is the fast-paced rhythm that drains your liquidity on-chain at any moment. If you force a hard comparison, it only makes people want to “chase something even higher.” My current way to save myself is: when I see the hype, I first check whether the pool is deep and whether the trades look off—otherwise I’d rather miss out. After all, it’s not the first time I’ve been led astray by a group chat.
