I was educated again recently by this thing called interest rates… As rate-hike expectations rise, that “bet on it” energy in the market gets dialed down like someone tightened a knob. Even though my positions haven’t really moved much, my mindset shrank first. Plainly put, once risk appetite drops, I’m less willing to chase those seemingly tasty breakouts on L2. I’d rather keep some “ammo” and wait for a pullback—there’ll always be another chance to get onboard.

On-chain is also pretty entertaining: validators/miners fighting over that slice of income, MEV grabbing from this side and that side, while retail traders complain that “the ordering is unfair,” and yet they still can’t help but click confirm. I stare at the mempool like I’m watching for the bus to arrive—when I see someone cutting the line, all I can do is just gape helplessly. Even my friend complained about me: “This isn’t investing—you’re just watching the show and getting swept up in it.” Yeah… a bit. Getting called out just makes me want to rein in my hands even more. That’s it for now.
