Gate US stock trading experience: a first taste with NVIDIA (NVDA), the first US stock position for Crypto users

As a veteran Crypto user, I was recently drawn in by Gate’s officially launched stock trading service and decided to try my hand at US stocks across the border. On June 4, I bought one share of NVIDIA (NVDA) on the Gate platform at a cost of $212.97. The latest price now is $212.75, with a return of -0.09%, a small unrealized loss. Seeing this screenshot of my position, I actually feel pretty calm—after all, the volatility of US stocks is completely on a different scale from cryptocurrencies.

As a leading AI semiconductor company, NVIDIA has benefited from the global AI boom this year, and its long-term stock price trend remains strong. Although there have been short-term corrections, the company’s fundamentals are solid, and demand from data centers is strong. I entered this position with a learning mindset—I mainly wanted to experience US stock trading settlement rules and what it’s like to hold positions. Gate’s interface is very user-friendly and supports trading US stocks directly with USDT. For those of us who are used to Crypto trading, the barrier is much lower; we don’t have to deal with converting to USD anymore.

Switching from Crypto to US stocks, my biggest takeaway is “stability.” The Crypto market sees dramatic swings over 24 hours, while US stocks have clear opening and closing times, and information disclosure is more standardized. Core assets like NVIDIA are suitable for medium- to long-term allocation rather than short-term speculation. Of course, I’ll continue to monitor its earnings reports and industry developments—such as AI chip demand and the competitive landscape.

This small-position trial run is just the beginning. In the future, I plan to review popular tech stocks in more depth, including Tesla, Apple, AMD, and more. Thanks to Gate for making stock trading so convenient, truly achieving an integration of Crypto and traditional finance.
