This round of memes is really lively, but there’s always a string in my heart: no matter how nice the narrative sounds, I have to first figure out how to admit defeat. My approach is pretty old-fashioned—I write down “what’s off” the moment I enter the market, like the hype suddenly dropping off, on-chain trading starting to dry up, and all that’s left in the group being people trading emotional shots… Once I spot those signs, I reduce my position size—I don’t wait for myself to talk myself into it. Plain and simple, stop-loss isn’t technical; it’s about preventing me from treating my position like a belief during the peak of the frenzy.

As for “long-term,” I’m not dogmatic about it either. For me, it’s roughly one quarter to half a year—the kind of timeframe where I can weather a few emotional reversals and still be willing to keep observing. Airdrop season is being run like clocking in for work these days: task platforms are going after bots, and the points system is getting more and more convoluted and exhausting. I’d rather save my energy for narratives that can be cashed out slowly. Anyway, not chasing hot topics won’t mean I miss out on taking my share. That’s it for now.
