These past couple of days, I kept checking the on-chain data—and it ended up making me laugh at myself… Everyone talks about “on-chain transparency,” but what you actually see is the “repackaged version” that nodes/RPCs/indexers relay to you. Sometimes it gets stuck for a bit, sometimes it misses something, and even the same transaction shows different timestamps in different places. Last night, I looked at an address’s balance and thought my position was still there—turns out the real change only showed up a few minutes later, and my mindset got dragged around with it.

So now I’d rather be half a beat slower than chase that few seconds of emotion, especially when gas is high—it’s just easier to make impulsive, sloppy clicks. The recent arguments over NFT royalties are the same too: everyone uses on-chain data to prove their point to each other, but if the data sources don’t match, they can bicker until daylight… Anyway, I’ll first prioritize not losing, and avoid those “see it and just hit buy/sell” impulsive orders.
