Don’t force it or fight back aggressively—wait until it hits 1830 before considering longs. As long as it stays empty all the way below 1830, that’s fine. This is only a slow grind lower; the sharp drop hasn’t even come yet. Think back to 805.1011—back then, the hundred-point waterfall still hadn’t arrived. This time will be even more violent; they’ve built up strength for far too long. Once a breakout happens and a collective stampede triggers, the steadfast long side will suffer mental torment, and in the end they’ll all turn to shorts. When consensus forms and such a large position gets dumped, no one can catch it—nor will they try to. Clear short positions make money; why go long? So it’s shorts all the way. Go long again at 1650–1550—if it can’t push up and lift off, then short again. Don’t be swayed by the subconscious urge to bottom-fish; you’ll be eliminated.
