Lately I've been earning testnet points again, mainly just practicing, but then every day in the group everyone is calculating "whether they can get an airdrop," and I also started to get itchy and add tasks... Then I realized my mindset was off: once practice turns into expectations, it's easy to keep doing more and more, even trying to pile on gas fees and cross-chain transactions.
My current "stop-loss" rule I set for myself is pretty simple: stop once the time spent/fees paid reach a certain amount, don't chase unconfirmed interactions, check again the next day; if I start to consider shortcuts (like dealing with privacy coins or mixing coins in gray areas), even if the group is noisy about it, I just skip it. I don't want to get myself psychologically unsettled just for some points.
What I’ve learned isn’t techniques, but: don’t treat practice like debt, leave unconfirmed things alone for now. Don’t rush, wait for confirmation.
