With funding rates this extreme, do you really still have to rush in and play the hero? I get an itch too, but more often I pull my hand back first. At times, doing the opposite side of the trade sounds cool, but in reality it’s more like going head-to-head with your emotions—winning doesn’t feel solid. My habit is to first check whether I’m being pushed along by being “left out.” If I really want to get involved, I’ll only leave a small amount for trial and error; the rest I avoid volatility and wait until the funding rates return to normal before gradually reconnecting. Lately, the attention rotation from Meme and celebrity call-chasing has been moving too fast. Old hands say not to take the last step—I think that’s right. To put it plainly, living longer is more important than betting correctly on one single move.
