I used to get excited about airdrop interactions—like the moment you catch the scent of something sweet. I’d pile up wallet authorizations and click all over the chain, only to realize after getting scammed and rug-pulled a few times: I didn’t end up getting any free “wool”—I paid gas and risk fees first.

Now I’m pretty cautious. I’ll first figure out what the project actually wants from users, and whether the rules keep changing back and forth. If I can use a new wallet, I’ll use a new wallet. Once the authorization is done, I’ll revoke it. If I don’t understand a link, I’d rather not click it—missing once is unlikely to ruin my whole life.

FOMO still happens, of course, especially when someone in the group blurts out, “Hurry up and get in!” and I start itching to act… but I’ve set a strict cap on my position size—if it goes over, I just pretend I didn’t see it.

Also, lately the same old show keeps playing out in chain games: “inflation” plus studio teams coming in and basically breaking the economy. Watching it all makes me even more clear-headed: don’t treat “possible airdrops” like wages. Either way, I’m just trying to stay alive—if I can claim it, then it’s a win.
