This round of the attention economy really feels like a roulette wheel: yesterday it was all about narratives, and today it’s switched to “points + tasks.” I’m most afraid is that I’ll be pulled around by my emotions, so every time a hot topic pops up, I go check on-chain data first: is the TVL built up by a small number of big players? Are active addresses rising in tandem? Is the real income (the kind from fees) keeping up? If not, I just treat it as lively talk.

Honestly, I’m also tempted to get involved—the psychological reason is simple: I’m afraid of missing out and afraid I’ll feel like I have no “participation.” When I see others posting screenshots of their airdrops, I want to go do the tasks even more. But the stricter the anti-sybil measures get, the more the points start to feel like clocking in for work, and it actually grinds my attention into exhaustion. My approach is just one thing: if the on-chain data doesn’t improve, I don’t add to my position and I don’t add any drama—at most I make a small allocation just to get some experience… For now, that’s it.
