Lately, I really can’t stand task platforms anymore. Trying to scoop/harvest rewards is starting to feel more and more like going to work: daily check-ins, screenshots, filling out forms, and even having to maintain a “work badge”—if your score drops, you get treated like a witch, and you have to explain for half a day, like you’re going head-to-head with HR. To put it plainly, everyone’s afraid of getting taken advantage of by the system’s “sheep-shearing” scheme, but in the end they first treat users like something to be sifted through… I read through some rules and terms, and the more they write, the more it starts to sound like a rental contract—the emphasis is all on those lines about “we have the rights.”
What’s even more ridiculous is that out there, spot/derivatives funding rates swing to extremes, and in the group people start arguing about whether to reverse or keep squeezing the bubble. Over here, I’m still calculating the cold-start costs for tasks, and my mindset is pretty much like opening blind boxes while trying to hit KPIs. Anyway, for now I’m just picking the ones that are transparent, allow appeals, and don’t randomly block people—everything else… forget it. Time is also a cost.
