Today I got "data lag" again, making my eyes a bit sore... Even though the blockchain has already produced a block, the transaction/ balance on the interface still shows the previous second, and I start to doubt life. Actually, many times it's not the chain being slow, but the indexer/Subgraph updating data, or RPC being rate-limited, especially during peak times when everyone is querying together, causing the response to jitter; you see the router sometimes giving you the optimal path, and other times switching, but the state it has might not be from the same moment.

Now I’ve gotten used to: before important operations, check two sources, keep a few RPC nodes ready, and if possible, use private transactions to avoid being easily snatched away. Recently, with the rate cut expectations, the US dollar index swinging with risk assets, on-chain queries are also more crowded... Anyway, a lag isn’t surprising, but what’s scary is thinking there’s no lag, and then when you act quickly, it really gets stuck.
