These days I’ve been insomnia again, scrolling through large transfers on the chain and becoming more and more alert: money really follows attention, wherever it’s hot, that’s where it goes. When a hot topic shifts, the biggest mistake I used to make was “seeing everyone talk about it and jumping in,” which results in buying at the emotional peak or being tortured by whipsawing fees and slippage.

Now I tend to pause first, take a look at the congestion on the chain and those strange sandwich trades, especially when MEV and fairness in ordering were being criticized, retail traders’ urgent orders were basically just feeding others… Honestly, the more attention you focus, the easier it is to be designed into “you must act immediately.” I simplified my rules to: if I don’t understand it, don’t touch it; if I want to chase, wait a night; if I can avoid moving, don’t move.

What I’ve learned isn’t skills, but that I don’t need to be involved in every hot topic.
