Lately, it really feels like "waiting in line to buy milk tea but someone always cuts in line" on the blockchain... As for MEV/ordering, honestly, it's not about who is smarter, but who can spend more money to secure a better spot. The unlucky ones are often people like me who get itchy when they see a candlestick shake: just confirmed the order, then slippage pulls, and the transaction price is like someone casually lifted it, clearly not doing anything wrong but just getting exploited.
What's even more annoying is the attention rotation of memes, when a celebrity shouts, everyone rushes in like a swarm, and those cutting in line are even happier. In the end, the ones who take over are mostly emotional retail investors (yes, that's occasionally me). Veteran players advise newcomers not to jump in for the final takeover, and now I can only nod, after all, I’ve paid my tuition.
Anyway, what I’ve been practicing lately isn’t some kind of "talent," but habits: chase fewer hot topics, don’t go on chain during the busiest times, set a tolerable slippage and accept it, if not, cancel the order, and wait until the emotions settle. Pretending to be calm... also requires long-term repetition to look decent.
