I've been sorting a bunch of “social mining” failures and lessons learned these days, and the more I look, the more I feel: points, badges, identities—these things are originally meant to save effort, but everyone ends up wasting time for them... It's quite absurd. To put it simply, “attention is mining” isn't necessarily a false proposition, but it’s more like treating you as a mining machine: constantly checking in, sharing, interacting, and in the end, they give you a picture and a phrase like “you're early.” Fan tokens are similar; they have a lot of emotional value, but the path to real value... Anyway, right now I only do two things: I only bookmark content I genuinely want to see, and I only leave on-chain traces for protocols I truly want to use long-term. If you find yourself starting to feel anxious about maintaining rank or climbing the leaderboard, you should stop for a bit—don't let badges lead you astray.
