According to Korean media Digital Asset, Busan Digital Asset Exchange's digital physical asset trading platform Bdan will acquire the operator of Korea's cryptocurrency exchange Flybit, Korea Digital Exchange Co., Ltd., through its parent company WeHub. The report states that WeHub and its largest shareholder Yang Jae-seok have signed agreements to acquire 40% and 25% stakes respectively, and plan to further increase their holdings through capital increases to become the majority shareholder. Busan Digital Asset Exchange stated that this move will strengthen internal controls and anti-money laundering infrastructure that comply with regulatory requirements, and enhance the competitiveness of Korean won trading and virtual asset service providers.
